Lyra: Constellation Archives

🔭 A new patch for the astro-knot.co collection—LYRA; brightest star, VEGA

I stitched this little map to aid my navigation since I noticed that the Lyrids will be lighting up in time with the new moon...which means the visibility will be greater for catching sight of those brilliant flashes! 🔍 Vega is fifth brightest in the sky and was the first star other than the sun to be photographed plus first to have its spectrum recorded. The Chinese mythos tells a love story of Weaving Girl & Niulang. In Greek mythos it was connected to Orpheus and is said to be a lyre. It was also represented as vulture or eagle.

Stargazing companions...will you be watching for wishes? Let me know in the comments ⬇️
